She has led important contributions to in-network machine learning, offloading machine learning to run within programmable network devices, and applying this to address problems within cyber-security, finance and smart environments. Alongside her work on AI-enabling technologies, Professor Zilberman also researches how to regulate AI technologies and improve their sustainability, particularly the effect of micro-architectures on large-scale AI systems.
Professor Zilberman is a recognized expert in computing infrastructure, regularly advising government and funding agencies on these topics. She is a Turing Fellow and a Senior Member of ACM and IEEE.
Before joining Oxford, Professor Zilberman was a Fellow and an Affiliated Lecturer at the University of Cambridge. She has over 15 years of industrial experience, in design, architecture and management roles.
