Kevin’s research interests include the science of evaluations, legal AI safety/alignment, AI regulation and liability, and other topics in AI evaluations and AI law. Their research has been published in top AI and AI ethics venues including ICML, AAAI, FAccT, AIES, and TMLR.
Previously, Kevin was a researcher at the UK AI Security Institute and RAND. They also researched Chinese AI policy as a Schwarzman Scholar in Beijing and served as a senior program manager at a cloud company.
Kevin holds a Master’s in Global Affairs from Tsinghua University, an M.S. in Machine Learning from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a B.A. in Mathematics-Statistics from Columbia University.
