Amin led The Future Society’s contributions to the EU GPAI Code of Practice and convened a pan-European CSO alliance to advocate for a robust Code. His current work centers on piloting technical protocols for AI agent governance and operationalising frontier AI risk management frameworks.
Previously, Amin conducted AI governance research with various institutions, including the University of Oxford, the Weizenbaum Institute, and the Bertelsmann Foundation. Amin’s work informs high-level policy, with briefings delivered to EU bodies, the German Bundestag, and various political parties. His research has also been featured at leading academic conferences like ACM CHI and AAAI/ACM AIES.
Amin began his professional career as a consultant at McKinsey & Company, where he developed data-driven software solutions and digital strategies for government. He holds a BSc in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) from University College London and an MSc in Data Science for Public Policy from the Hertie School in Berlin.
