Her research examines how technology companies operate as political actors shaping national security and international governance. Alongside her doctoral work, she covers technology and geopolitics from CNN’s London bureau.
Previously, Lisa worked with leading policy institutions, including the UK Ministry of Defence, the EU Institute for Security Studies, Institut Montaigne, and the Rift Valley Institute, and covered European politics from CNN’s Paris bureau. She has advised the African Union and FCDO on security governance, and held research fellowships with the Oslo Nuclear Project and the Institute for Peace and Security Studies.
Lisa is a UK Rising Leader with the Aspen Institute, an ESRC Grand Union DTP Scholar, and a St Antony’s Scholar. She holds an MPhil in International Relations from the University of Oxford and a BA from the University of Cambridge, both with Distinction.
