Shannon Hong

Research Affiliate

Shannon Hong is a Research Affiliate of the Oxford Martin AI Governance Initiative; a Research Fellow at the Oxford China Policy Lab; and a current Master of Business Administration candidate at the Oxford Saïd School of Business. Her research focuses on international artificial intelligence governance.

Prior to joining Oxford, she conducted research on democratic governance of artificial intelligence with Open Future Foundation and Creative Commons. She received the 2024 LeadNext Fellowship from the Asia Foundation and the 2023 Morgridge Accelerator Program Fellowship from the Morgridge Family Foundation. She started her career as a Product Manager at Scale AI. Shannon holds a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
